Spring Tree

This painting began as a study of mixing and painting spring greens.  I take tons of photographs everywhere I am so I plan to paint a new spring series of trees and landscapes.  This painting by George Clausen, call Apple Blossoms, 1885, caught my eye.  I loved the looseness of it.  My version is a little different than his, I know, since we all bring our own perspective into our art.  It could be a landscape anywhere in the spring.  You will see his influence in my series I'm sure!  This painting is framed in a gold wood frame.
