St Mark's facade

Ah, Venice and it's amazing architecture!  The piazza San Marco is filled with wonderful detail.  I chose to do this painting of part of the facade over the doorway of the St Mark's Basilica.  The lion is the true symbol of Venice.  I love visiting and painting Venice!

This painting has a four inch white mat and a deep silver leaf narrow frame.  It is part of the Pilgrimages exhibit at St Paul's Episcopal Church in Chattanooga until October 29.
