Poppies in a French Field (2)

One of the many things I love about France is seeing the poppy fields.  Poppies are considered weeds and grow in fields that are not being cultivated.  Sometimes you'll see them on the edges of fields too.  They just happen to be my favorite wildflower.  When I can, it means a quick pull off and doing a sketch.  Then back in the studio I enlarge the scene. When I look at the painting, it reminds me of the poppies swaying in the wind and the warm sunshine!
